On-Site SEO Factors that Impact Your Website’s SEO [Infographic]
On-site SEO factors are signals on your website that influence how each page is ranked. Unlike off-site or social media SEO factors, you have almost complete control over all on-site factors.
Are you optimizing your web pages the right way? You’ll find out in this article.
On-site SEO factors
There are more than 50 on-site SEO factors to follow.
Each one should be applied when uploading a new piece of content to your website.
The following factors should be applied:
Content length
The more content your page contains, the greater likelihood of it ranking in the search. Numerous studies have shown that the more content a page contains, the higher it ranks on average. Content is not limited to text, but also includes images, videos, slides, and even voice recordings.

Keyword usage
Web crawlers decide when to show a page to a searcher based on keywords within each page. Best practices state you should include your keyword around 1-2% throughout the entire page, including in the title, headings, and the URL slug.

Freshness of content
Is the content you wrote two years ago still relevant today? In competitive niches, search engines consider how new and accurate content is when displaying search results to users.
As a best practice, aim to update your high-priority keyword pages at least once per year. Search engines like Google will timestamp content to see when it was last updated:
Domain Age (DA) and Page Authority (PA)
Your domain authority and page authority should give you a rough idea of how your content will rank in the search before you even create it. The higher the DA and PA, the better search engines respect your website and the greater chance content will rank highly.
There are a number of ways to improve your DA and PA, which are all explained in our slideshow linked below.
